Cetaphil Moisturizers Provide Superior Skin Hydration1

Objective:

Compare the moisturization properties of 5 moisturizers over a 48 hour time period in patients with mild to moderate dry skin.

Results:

All three Cetaphil Moisturizers provide superior hydration (p<0.05)** over a period of up to 48 hours compared to Aveeno and Eucerin.

*Corneometer: Indicates the hydration level of the superficial layers of the skin (stratum corneum) via measurement of skin dielectric [insulator] properties.2

**p-value <0.05 indicates statistical significance.

The hydration potential of Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, Moisturizing Cream and Daily Advance was investigated in a study conducted in 51 men and women ages 18-65 with mild to moderate dry skin. Single application was applied to lower leg using a Corneometer MPA-5.
